Oak cooking wood is one of the best fire
wood types for cooking and smoking. Our kiln-drying process results in a good slow burning wood with lots of heat and a small flame. Oak gives a robust smoky flavor and is best used for bold foods like ribs, red meat and pork. Oak also works great with fish and wild game. Oak leaves a “really rich, dark, mahogany color” to meats.
